Idiot's Guide #001: Let Go Your Dream

Everybody dream of sex everyday but no one want to have it all day long forever.
What a saying. I must say, it's one of the bestest i ever heard. Chasing after dream is everybody's dream but who's the one who gonna make it? Dreams come from the standard, benchmark, assumption and/or pressure setting up by our environment. Everybody have dream(s), many chasing after it, few make the journey and very very very little make it. People dream over things that they can achieve, some people dream over unrealistic thing which they never got. It's not totally wrong to dream over unrealistic thing but don't spending your whole life crying over it if you never go it. People spending their life to achieve their dream to achieve "perfection".

When to let go your dream?

Most people stumble upon in their journey to achieve their dream. some keep it going, some stop after first obstacle, more and more stop after much obstacles coming their way. Most people won't admit that they already stop chasing after their dream. they won't admit their defeat. some people shift the blame of their failure to others i.e: people, time, whatever-things-available. amongst what people always said when they let go of their dream(s):

"i'm not after money"

"i rather find a place to settle down since i have a family that i need to look into"

"dreams only for the young"

"i have things much important in my priority list"

"not my league anymore"

folks, let go of your dream but don't blame it on others. If you not able to achieve your dream, let it go. it's nobody faults really. It's just life is too short for you to be able to achieve your dream. Not everyone really happened to be an astronout or prime minister when everybody dream to be one. So, there are thousand people who also defeated thus that's doesn't make you're all alone. Dreams as i see is just mere unrealistic imagination pushing into our mind by our belief system. We believe for what we been telling/experiencing/talking for the time we know how to think/speak. and i know it's totally cool to have a dream, it's like a thing everybody have. Whether you like it, you need one cause human in its lowest consciousness hate to be alone/alienated.

So, what does it feel to be a free bird (after letting go of your dream)?
As painful as death, letting go your dream most probably make you insane. So, you might encountered this five (5) stages to cope with:

Denial : The initial stage: "It can't be happening."
Anger : "How dare you do this to me?!" (either referring to God, oneself, or anybody perceived, rightly or wrongly, as "responsible")
Bargaining : "Just let me live to see my son graduate."
Depression : "I'm so sad, why bother with anything?"
Acceptance : "I know that I will be in a better place."

This is phase of acceptance of death, a painful process where human lost his/her soul and get buried/burnt and change into protien. Just as dramatic and beautiful death is, so does the art of letting your dream go; you lost your purpose, get "burnt" and lastly change into someone new. But always remember, life is a journey, not a destination. Keep your feet going and you'll be somewhere. I rather cruising along with life and plan my short term plan in it. A short term plan is much easier to achieve, easier to let go, and make your life much systematic in a better way. Life itself short, putting it in chunk make it easier to manage. Anyway, it's you who decide how you want to see it. Life is too short to spend on grieving over something you'll never got/achieve anyway. so, cheer up and go out alive and kicking.

Cheers to all realist~!
